Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts
The Scouts meet: Cubs Tuesdays at 6:00PM in Finn Hall; Boys Tuesdays 7:30pm Parish Hall. New scouts will join a very active and family-friendly organization that offers a wide variety of fun activities. When a boy joins a Scout Pack, he also becomes a member of a Scout Den where he will engage in age-appropriate activities with boys in his own grade. At every level of Scouting, the boys have the opportunity for hands-on experience and earn awards in fitness, sports, citizenship, community, the outdoors, technology, arts, communication, personal and public safety, and first aid. The Scout dens of all ages come together for regular Pack events, including marching in the Roslindale Day Parade, building and racing their own boats in the Rain Gutter Regatta, building and racing their own model cars in the Pinewood Derby, the annual Fishing Derby, and a family camping trip. Scouts also will have the chance to take part in ceremonies honoring veterans and to bring new flags to veterans’ graves before Memorial Day. Adult volunteers are also welcome. For more information email [email protected] and your email will be forwarded to the Scout group.
Pageant Helpers
These volunteers come forward each year to help with organizing, making costumes for, and overseeing the annual Christmas Eve Pageant event.
